dr richard ochs on neograft
I recently attended a seminar on Neograft fue device in Beverly Hills. I was very impressed with the quality of the grafts produced as well as the speed of harvesting. The company is promoting inexperienced drs to use this device. as long as it is in the hands of an experienced hair surgeon, I believe it will change the process of FUE for all docs and come to be the new standard for this process. In addition, the speed of harvesting will eventually bring the cost down. www.ochshair.com

tricophytic closure delayed healing by dr richard ochs
why hasn't my donor incision healed yet following tricophytic closure
tricophytic closure drives hair through the donor scar to camoflague the incison. this is especially helpful for patients with short hair ( less than 1cm).
the down side of the technique is that the incision may become inflammed and the healing delayed as the hairs begin to grow through the scar. all in all, it is worth the delay and minor complications as the results are impressive

dr richard answers question regarding the length of time for the hair to grow
although transplanted hair beigns to regrow at 3 months, 9 months are typically needed for noticeable growth. this occurs because the transplanted grafts are dormant and begin to grow at different times. some grafts may not grow until after 12 months.
dr richard ochs on post op transplanted hair loss
frequently patients are concerned by the loss of transplanted hair within 1 month following the procedure. the hair shaft, scabs and some additional tissue may be visualized. Patients should understand that this is a normal process. the eventual result will not be affected.
